Website Traffic And Revenue Calculator
Your revenue comes down to three numbers: your traffic, your conversion rate and your average order value. Add a target, and the tool gives you the traffic you need to reach it.
Website revenue is traffic multiplied by conversion rate, then by average order value. Conversion rate is the share of visits that end in an order, average order value the average amount of an order. Together they give the revenue each visit brings in.

How website revenue is calculated
Revenue = Visits × Conversion rate × Average order value Traffic needed = Target ÷ (Conversion rate × Average order value)
80,000 visits converting at 2 % give 1,600 orders. At 150 € per order, the month brings in 240,000 €, which is 3 € per visit.
That 3 € per visit is the number that matters for your advertising: as long as a visit costs you less than the margin it leaves, each extra visit you buy pays off, provided it converts like the others, which the last visits you buy rarely do. For a 300,000 € target you need 100,000 visits at the same rate, 20,000 more than today.
The three levers do not cost the same. Moving from 2 % to 2.5 % conversion brings in as much as 20,000 extra visits: 80,000 × 2.5 % × 150 € = 300,000 €.
What the calculation helps you decide
- Your acquisition budget: the missing visits, multiplied by your cost per visit, give what you need to invest to reach your target.
- The lever to work on first, between traffic, conversion and order value: the one that brings in the most for the same effort.
Frequently asked questions
How do I calculate website revenue?
Multiply your visits by your conversion rate, then by your average order value. 80,000 visits × 2 % × 150 € = 240,000 €.
How much traffic do I need to reach my revenue goal?
Divide your target by what one visit brings in, your conversion rate times your average order value. For 300,000 € at 3 € per visit: 300,000 ÷ 3 = 100,000 visits.
Where do I find my conversion rate?
In Google Analytics 4, the session key event rate divides the sessions in which a key event happened by the total number of sessions (Google Analytics help). Mark the purchase as a key event so this rate matches your orders.
